Too Much isn’t good. But it’s an essential mineral.

I can appreciate …
I can appreciate that whole, sprouted grains are much more nutritious than their highly-processed counter-parts, but those types of grains aren’t what the USDA keeps trying to cram down our throats as something that’s good for us. I’ve noticed a growing trend in the grocery stores where products are now being marketed as “whole grain” then find on closer inspection, are still running over with highly-processed flours, with just enough whole grain to advertise it on the label.

The only reason …
The only reason grains are “devoid” of nutrients is because of the way they’re processed (just like fruits lose their nutrients when they’re juiced and pasteurized.) True whole grains — especially when sprouted — have a lot of nutrients.

Fruit makes you …
Fruit makes you sick? Don’t eat it. Vegetables are usually way higher in most nutrients, anyway. Did you know, for example, a green pepper has more vitamin C and more vitamin A than an orange?
It’s surprising just how many foods we’ve been told are “good for us” are actually nearly devoid of nutrients, like grain, for example.
Use your favorite search engine to find websites with real nutritional content for foods listed (broken down by food, and by vitamin). It’s a mind-blowing experience.

Not all fruit is ” …
Not all fruit is “packed” with nutrients. Look at the RDA of the vitamins in the apple, not just how many vitamins are in it. Apples have no substantial amount of anything but high-glycemic sugars. Its highest nutrient is 11% of the RDA of vitamin C. All the other nutrients are under 4% of the RDA. Many fruits have similarly low nutritional values. That is truth.
Fruit CAN be an important part of a diet, but is not necessary. Contrary to popular belief, sugar isn’t the only source of energy.

Fructose tends to …
Fructose tends to be a huge burden to the liver. A piece here and there a few times a week are ok but it shouldn’t be a meal or everyday. See my video, esp the one on fruits.
